Turn every repeated mistake into a check
Review comments are forgotten. Checks are not. A fortnightly habit turned lessons into guards.
Lessons get lost
The same review comments kept appearing across PRs, from people and agents alike. Writing them in a doc did not stop them.
Retro, then gardening
Every run ends with a short retro on the PR. Every two weeks a gardening pass reads those retros, and any lesson seen twice becomes a fix.
The strongest guard wins
Each lesson goes to the strongest guard that can hold it: a type first, then a lint rule or automated check, then a test, then a coding standard, and only last a line of instructions for the agent.
