A construction inventory platform processing 1,000+ bulk orders a month.
- Bulk orders / month
- 1,000+
- Better order monitoring accuracy
- 30%
The problem
BuildSupply is an online supplier of building and construction materials in India. Its Material Manager product had to let real estate and construction teams manage all project procurement in one place, and track material inventory across every active project.
What we did
- Built a full-stack inventory platform with Angular, Angular Material, Node.js and PostgreSQL.
- Added stock-level monitoring, requisition workflows, cross-site transfer tracking and reporting dashboards.
- Built an internal operations dashboard with tabular analytics and REST APIs.
- Owned features end to end, from database schema to UI.
Result
The platform processed 1,000+ bulk orders a month, and order inflow monitoring accuracy improved by 30%.
What I learned
- 01
Owning a feature from schema to UI is the fastest way to learn a product.
- 02
Dashboards are only useful if the data behind them is trusted.
Stack
- Angular
- Angular Material
- Node.js
- PostgreSQL
- REST APIs
