Moved the frontend from class components to functional components and Next.js SSR.

The problem

The frontend was built with React class components and needed a move to modern patterns and server-side rendering.

What we did

• Led the migration from class components to functional components.
• Moved pages to Next.js server-side rendering.
• Established modern patterns for the team to follow.

Result

SEO improved, bundle size went down, and the team had modern patterns to follow.

What I learned
